Leuven is the capital and largest city of the province of Flemish Brabant in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located about 25 kilometres (16 miles) east of Brussels. The municipality itself comprises the historic city It is the eighth largest city in Belgium, with more than 100,244 inhabitants.[2]KU Leuven, the largest Dutch-speaking university in the world and the largest university in the Low Countries (and thus also Belgium's largest university), has its flagship campus in Leuven, which has been a university city since 1425.[3] This makes it the oldest university city in the Low Countries. The city is home of the headquarters of Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's largest beer brewer[4] and sixth-largest fast-moving consumer goods company

This meeting will take place at the imec headquarters in Leuven. Upon arrival, follow the signage to imec tower.

By car coming from E314 (including Brussels & Brussels Airport)

  • Follow the Koning Boudewijnlaan (N264) until the 4th traffic lights. Turn right into the Celestijnenlaan.
  • WARNING: Your GPS may direct you to turn right at the first traffic lights (Sint-Jansbergsesteenweg). This is wrong. Drive on to the 4th traffic lights.
  • Follow the Celestijnenlaan until you reach the 2nd road on the right (after about 250 meters). This is imec’s Kapeldreef. The visitor’s parking and central entrance are on the right.
     

By car coming from Leuven City Centre

  • At Tervuursevest (N3/R23), take the Koning Boudewijnlaan (N264).
  • At the 1st traffic lights turn left into the Celestijnenlaan.
  • Follow the Celestijnenlaan until you reach the 2nd road on the right (after about 250 meters). This is imec’s Kapeldreef. The visitor’s parking and central entrance are on the right.
  • From the Brussels' North, Central, or Midi stations, you can take a direct train to Leuven every 30 minutes.
  • Brussels International Airport has its own railway station located in the airport building. You can take a direct train from the airport to Leuven.
  • From the station, you can take a bus to imec (see next tab).
  • For more information on train schedules, go to www.nmbs.be.
  • From Leuven station or downtown Leuven, bus 2 (Campus) will bring you to the Kapeldreef in Heverlee (terminus). The bus stop is situated just opposite the imec 1 building. From there you can easily walk to imec 1.
  • From Leuven station you can also take bus 616 (Wetenschapspark). This bus also stops in front of the imec 1 building.
